By default, Windows 11 desktop is very clean without much clutter and icons of widely used applications such as “My Computer” or “Recycle Bin” which we used to he in older version of Windows operating systems.
So if you do not see the recycle bin icon on your Windows 11 PC, follow the below steps to get it on your desktop.
- Open the Settings app. In the left panel, go to “Personalisation”.
- Go to Themes.
- Scroll down till you see “Desktop icon settings” option. Click on that.
- Now in next screen, you will see check box in front of “Recycle Bin”.
- Click that box, click on “Apply” and then “OK” to close that window.
Make sure that the “Allow themes to change desktop icons” box at the bottom on that window is also checked.
