Microsoft Management Console or MMC is Microsoft’s interface for users to configure their systems.
Some users have the need for configuring the network environment for various users in a specific network.
Group Policy Editor lets them achieve this task in a simple manner.
Here’s how you can access Group Policy Editor on Windows 11:
Using Start Menu
Open Search menu via the Taskbar.
Open Windows Run by pressing Windows Key + R at the same time.
Type ‘gpedit.msc’ in Windows Run and press Enter.
Using Windows Settings
Open Windows Settings by going to Search menu and typing ‘Settings’.
Type ‘group policy’ in the search menu of the settings and then click on ‘Edit group policy’.
Using Task Manager
Open Task Manager by right-clicking the Start menu at the Taskbar.
Alternatively you can press CTRL+SHIFT+ESC in combination to open Task Manager.
Click on ‘File’ in the Task Manager and then click on ‘Run a new task’.
Type ‘gpedit.msc’ in the search field and check the option ‘Create this task with administrative privileges’.
Using Command Prompt
Type ‘cmd’ in the search menu and right-click it to ‘run it as administrator’.
Type ‘gpedit.msc’ and press Enter.
Group Policy Editor is an MMC for configuring Group Policy settings, and you can open it on your Windows 11 PC using Start Menu, Windows Setting, Task Manager or CMD. Be careful when playing around with it.
