‘Awaiting Endpoint’ Error in Discord and How to Fix it

Discord is used by a huge numbers of gamers across the globe. Its easy to manage interface attracts the users a lot. There is an error that some users face in Discord which is the ‘Awaiting Endpoint’ error. It may be caused due to an issue on the user’s side, or on the app’s side.

When you face this error, your messages are not being delivered. To find out how you can fix this issue, follow this guide thoroughly.

Fix 1. Test your Internet:

The first thing that you should do is to check whether your network connection is working properly or not. If your internet is working fine, then the problem is on the app’s side.

To test your internet, simply open a web browser and access any website. If your internet is working fine, then step to Fix # 2.

Fix 2. Check Discord’s Server Status:

The next thing you should do is to head over here, discordstatus.com and check if the servers of Discord are functioning or not. If you go to the bottom of this page, you can see ‘Past Incident‘, which will let you check the dates on which the servers were down.

Fix 3. Change your Change Region:

Changing the server region on Discord can help you in fixing this error. Changing region only effects the voice channels and can cause lag sometimes. In order to change your region:

  • Open Discord and go to Settings from the left tab.
  • In the Server Settings, head to Overview.
  • Change your region to the one that is up and running.

Fix 4. Updating/Reinstalling Discord:

In case none of the above fixes worked for you, try updating Discord. If even that doesn’t work, you can try uninstalling and reinstalling Discord to get rid of this error.

Simply bring up Discord’s window and press CTRL + R. This will check for updates and will install, if there are any available. Restart the app for the changes to take effect.

If updating didn’t work, uninstall Discord by:

  • Opening Windows Run by pressing Windows Key + R together. Type ‘appwiz.cpl‘ and hit Enter.
  • Right-click Discord and select Uninstall.
  • Head over to Discord’s official website and download it.
